Which ultra runners have inspired you the most during 2023?

It's that time of the year when I put together my list of the top 20 most inspirational ultra runners of the year. But this year — my sixth annual list — is changing.

Due to the increase in inspirational athletes, I’m doubling down. In the next few weeks, I’ll publish one list for the top 20 males and another for the top 20 females. I haven’t quite decided the best way to handle the nonbinary category but they won’t be left out.
