Many runners in America have been battling significant heat this summer, with record temperatures scorching much of the nation. Staying cool during their runs is a challenge but there are ways to stay cool, including running during times when heat it minimized, hydrating properly and choosing appropriate gear.

I had the opportunity to test the Nathan Men's Sprinter Tank and found out to be a good option for these hot summer runs. That actually surprised me a bit since I am generally not a fan of tank tops.

The Nathan Sprinter tank provides superior moisture management, wicking away sweat and drying quickly.

But the Nathan tank is made with an ultimate lightweight mesh that offers 360 degrees of ventilation for superior breathability.

The Nathan Sprinter tank provides superior moisture management, wicking away sweat and drying quickly. In fact, on recent back-to-back runs in similar 100+ degree heat in San Antonio, I returned from a run completely drenched wearing a moisture-wicking T-shirt. The following day, while I sweated a lot, the Sprinter tank fared much better, wicking away much more of the sweat.

Made with 92% polyester and 8% elastane, it also has a shorter and slightly narrower base which means less there is less fabric intruding with my running.

The Nathan Men’s Sprinter Tank also has:

• Options in four colors, including sky blue, electric blue, monument gray and white.

• A reflective logo on the upper left chest and on the back.

• Flat lock seams that won't rub or chafe.
