Ibex hoodie sweatshirt is super comfortable, lightweight and soft

I was recently introduced to Ibex, which offers a new line of ultralight merino gear designed for hiking, running or hanging out in summer time. I tried the ultralight quick-drying hoodie, part of its Springbok Collection.

For full disclosure, I was sent a comped sweatshirt to try in exchange for a review. The sweatshirt is super comfortable, lightweight and soft.

Here are five reasons why I really like the Ibex hoodie sweatshirt:

• It delivers moisture-wicking cooling comfort whether you are taking the dog for a walk, exploring the mountains or being active in other ways.

• Ibex, which of course is named after a goat, uses a Tech Lite fabric. For their lightest weight textile, a touch of nylon and elastane is used to increase the fabric's durability and keep it fitting close to skin for ultimate performance.

• Their products are made by runners for runners. In fact, they were personally tested throughout production by Ibex's product developer as he trained for a 50-miler.

• The ultralight quick-drying hoodie is made for sun protection on the water or in the backcountry. It has a UPF of 35+.

• Ibex is striving to be climate neutral. The apparel industry accounts for 10% of global carbon emissions and remains the second largest industrial polluter, second to oil.
